FAQs

/Q. Where can I ride my e-bike?

A. Anywhere you can ride a regular bike! It is not considered a motorized vehicle and by law, it has all of the responsibilities and privileges of a regular bicycle. Like a regular bike, if you ride it on the road, you have to obey all traffic laws.

Q. How fast do the bikes go?

A. The max speed the bikes can go is ~28+mph (depending on the rider, terrain, charge level etc), but there are progressive speed settings as well, so you can set your max speed to lower if that feels more comfortable.

Q. How far can I go on one charge?

A. On average you should get about 40-100 miles off of one charge, but keep in mind that this can vary, depending on things like the weight of the rider, wind speeds, terrain, how much you do or don't peddle, etc.

Q.  If the bike is electric, why does it have pedals?

A. Well, the pedals are handy if the bike runs out of battery (obviously), but more conveniently, the pedals allow you to help conserve battery. You can choose to pedal (which has pedal assist -- the motor makes peddling easier), so as not to strain the battery as much, thus giving you longer life in the charge. If you see that battery meter running low, start peddling more and you'll be just fine! Plus, some people enjoy having the option to exercise! No judgement either way...you do you!

Q. Where do I charge my bike?

A. We recommend charging the bike battery at the end of each day, to make sure you can get the most out of it the next day. The battery removes easily and the bike comes with a charging cord which can be plugged into any standard outlet. An indicator light on the charger lets you know when it's fully charged.

Q. Can I test ride a bike before purchasing?

A. If you are local, yes you can! We do "test ride" demos around the Sarasota area. We post upcoming test ride events to our Facebook page as they get scheduled.

 Q. Does my bike arrive pre-assembled?

A. Yes! The bike arrives to you assembled, but folded, so you just have to set it up. Please refer to this video for set-up instructions. :)

Q. What about a warranty?

A. Yes! We offer a 1-year warranty against defects. These bikes can be repaired, under the warranty, at most local bike shops and we will cover parts and labor. The warranty does not cover damage or wear and tear.
